Our sweet little Gwen arrived Thursday the 30th of December, 2010. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She has beautiful blonde locks and the typical baby blue-gray eyes. I was in labor for about 7 1/2 hours and the last 2 were very hard! I have natural births with my babies and Gweni just didn't want to come out. Then we found out why I was having such a hard time when she finally was delivered she was face-up, what a lil stinker! That's the only trouble she's given me though. She has been an excellent eater and sleeper. We are so blessed to have this precious little spirit in our home, Welcome Gwendalyn!
We had our ultrasound a few weeks ago and saw our newest family member! The baby is super healthy with a good heartbeat and no problems. The baby is measuring at 19 weeks and 2 days which is 6 days shy of what our first estimate was but my Dr. is keeping January 4th for the due date. We didn't find out what we are having and are very anxious to find out! We love surprises and this is the BEST kind! We didn't find out with Kora and it was a really fun experience. Luke thinks its a boy because he says I've been moody and must have testosterone in the mix, but my sister thinks it will be a girl because it is due close to her birthday and is the fourth child. Well I guess we will have to wait and see :)
I cannot believe my little Daixa is now in First Grade. She has been counting down the days until school starts and was SO excited that it is finally here. And I am soooo not wanting summer to be over :( Daixa gets to be in Mrs. Thomas' class this year with her good friend Emma. I was so glad to see that she was put with some of her friends from last year. Well here's to an exciting new school year, I hope its a good one!
Daixa had her 6th Birthday party yesterday, and guess who decided to stop by... Hannah Montana! It was so fun to see all the girls and their star-struck faces as the sequinned, sunglassed, blonde-wigged star came in the front door. Hannah taught them all a few dance moves, signed autographs, and danced around the living room! Here are a few pics of all the girls having a great time :)
Kora is now FOUR! She is the funnest little girl, always with a quirky little smile and a comment to make you laugh! She had a fun party with all of her friends. They dressed up as princesses, played a kiss the frog game, and made princess necklaces. Kora enjoyed being the center of attention and twirling in her princess dress.
Dexter turned ONE this February. I cannot belive he is already been in our lives for a full year! Dex is full of energy, climbing stairs, chasing his sisters, and screaming in excitement over almost any toy that lights up and makes noises. We threw Dex a party the Saturday after his birthday and had the whole family over. We made him a basketball cake and he had a blast eating and tearing apart his very own miniature basketball cake.
Unlike the girls who stared at their little cakes for their first birthdays, Dexter dove right in and got messy! Thanks to friends and family, we love all your support and love! Happy Birthday little Man, you rock!
Luke and I have been married for 11 amazing years. We have 3 beautiful girls, Daixa (7), Kora (5) and Gwen (6 months) and a sweet little guy Dexter (2). Alyssa currently manages a small cafe in West Jordan and just graduated with her Masters in Information Systems.
Luke is working as a driver for Core-Mark. He is going to go back to school to hopefully find out what he wants to do for a career.
